On the sidelines of the World Symposium of the Tijjaaniyya

CONTEXT AND JUSTIFICATION

The Islamic Book Fair, organized on the sidelines of the World Symposium of the Tijjaaniyya, is part of an effort to promote Islamic knowledge and heritage. This event, scheduled to take place in Senegal, will highlight and showcase the intellectual and spiritual richness of Islam, particularly through the Tijjaaniyya and Sufi Islam in specific, and Islam in general.

One of the highlights of the fair will be the Memorial Exhibition of the Saints, dedicated to the great spiritual figures of the Tijjaaniyya. This exhibition aims to preserve the memory of the Sufi masters, highlight their writings, and make their influence on current and future generations known.

The organization of this event benefits from the support of the Senegalese authorities, notably the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, and key ministries (Interior, Foreign Affairs, Culture, Handicraft and Tourism, Higher Education, Research, Innovation, Education), illustrating the importance given to the preservation and dissemination of religious and cultural knowledge.
